CNN reports that a shooting has taken place at Inland Regional Center, a developmental disabilities facility in San Bernardino. The San Bernardino Fire Department tweeted that there may be up to 20 victims involved. Police are looking for three suspects armed with rifles who reportedly fled the scene in a black GMC SUV.

12 dead, reportedly. And the alleged shooters are white men who seemed to be wearing tactical gear and masks.

Police plan to use a robot to detonate a suspicious package they found in one of the center's buildings.

Authorities reportedly found the black SUV, killed two of the suspects in a shootout, and took one into custody.

With fourteen dead and at least as many injured, today's shooting in San Bernardino was the deadliest since Newtown, where Adam Lanza killed twenty children and six adults in Sandy Hook Elementary School.

The operation in San Bernardino continues. Police still seem to be searching for more suspects. In the meantime, there's this from the Seattle Times: In response to the shooting, the Seattle Police Department used its new Real Time Crime Center to dispatch officers to local social-services centers, just to check in.
