Good suggestions (especially Nirmal's). Also consider Chili's South Indian Cuisine in the U District at 4220 University Way NE. Go for dinner, so you can get the thali plates and other interesting South Indian dishes, not just the usual Northern Indian lunch buffet items.

Pabla Indian Cuisine in Renton is my favorite... they offer a broad range of Indian cuisine, including Jain options. The buffet is always well-stocked, their sweets counter has a big variety, and I love the Indian grocery that's attached!
