For a long time, the suit of armor just inside the Canterbury on Capitol Hill had a sign hung around its neck that said “Seat Thyself.” This is the world’s best ye-olde-English-pub-themed dive bar, complete with dark wood beams, a fireplace, pool tables, shuffleboard, cheap liquor, and marvelous characters (hi, Butch!). This weekend, in honor of 35 years in business—including three wedding receptions, eight wakes, and countless birthdays—the Canterbury is serving breakfast all day at 1976 prices. Feed thyself, and toast the greatness of this Seattle institution. (Canterbury Ale & Eats, 534 15th Ave E, 322-3130, 10 am–2 am)
