The characters in Joshua Conkel’s MilkMilk Lemonade: a wheezing, anti-gay chicken-farming grandma; a fey fifth-grade farm boy who does a killer ribbon-stick dance; his best friend, a giant talking chicken named Linda; a conflicted, closeted pyro kid who’s obsessed with the prom; a sort-of narrator in a black leotard who also plays an evil parasitic twin and the chicken’s interpreter. The set is mostly cardboard. Grown-ups play children; grandma is played by a man. Today’s your last day to see this inspired collage of wackiness that’ll charm you into a laugh-stupor, so run!
