With The Jacket, Port Townsend ninja-acrobats Nanda parody just about every single action movie cliché you’ve ever seen, including slow-motion fight scenes and enormous, dumb set pieces. The jaw-dropping part is that these four taut young bastards are acting the whole thing out in real time, in person. The plot—something about an ancient jacket that imbues the wearer with magical kung-fu powers—doesn’t matter. This is a string of hilarious gag skits (think the Naked Gun movies with more ass-kicking) that amount to the most fun you might have in a theater this fall.
