On Beacon Hill, you can eat home-style Filipino food at brightly lit Inays (and maybe catch the servers one-person drag show). You can get really good catfish at a Shell station. You can go to family Mexican restaurant Baja Bistro (or to its everyone-welcome-especially-gays-on-Wednesdays bar). And now theres Jerry Corsos wood-fired pizza place, Bar del Corso. Jerrybeloved in Seattle cooking from his days at Cafe Lago, Harvest Vine, and Campagnelives in the neighborhood, and its a neighborhood spot: friends running into each other and sharing a table, little kids jumping up and down. The pizza is just great. (Bar del Corso, 3057 Beacon Ave S, 395-2069, 510 pm) by Bethany Jean Clement
