‘Senses’ CHOW/ART
‘Senses’

For six weeks, “avant-garde confectioner” Victoria Yee Howe—originally from Seattle, now living in New York but back on extended vacation—has been in residency in the kitchen at Arabica Lounge, making special concoctions twice a week: oranges cut in half, edges sutured, filled with black sesame coconut jelly; cakes frosted with photo transfers of the pink-purple bruises on her body at the time. Her culminating event is a multimedia, multisensory “interactive evening” with a prix fixe menu, a “sound orchestra” (take that however you will), video projections, customized scents, and textiles resulting in “total engagement,” “stimulation satisfaction,” and “sense submission.” (Arabica Lounge, 1550 E Olive Way, 347-6093, 8 pm, $10)

Could that be a pot pie on a stick? If so, then count me in.
