Brutally simple and simply brutal, New Yorks Sleigh Bells strip things down to Alexis Krausss creamy vocals and Derek E. Millers extra-crunchy guitar riffs and massive drum-machine beats. But what they do with these rudimentary elements lifts them into a new pop paradigma shocking-chartreuse brand of bubblegum metal with dance beats that could topple the Chrysler Building. Sleigh Bells 2010 debut, Treats, was a fun, heavy revelation, stoking anticipation for the new Reign of Terror.
