Local playwright Kelleen Conway Blanchard's take on women-behind-bars exploitation films and novels is an explosion of snarls and sass: cleavage popping out over barely buttoned tops, garish lipstick smears, Southern drawls and New Yoik/New Joisey accents, contraband retrieved via elbow-deep crotch spelunking, a musical number (and lobby bar drink special!) called “Shanked in the Shower.” It’s a raunch riot full of dry (and wet) humor and exaggerated stereotypes brought to full-color life by an all-female cast, and Thursdays are pay-what-you-can. No excuse not to go! (Annex Theater, 1100 E Pike St, www.annextheatre.org, 8 pm, $15)
