The best part of the Museum of Glass in Tacoma is its working hot shop, which attracts visiting artists who deserve the top billing they get. But the regular hot-shop crew—the artists who execute the daring moves and big ideas of the headliners—never get the attention they deserve. 12 Hands 60 Toes corrects that, spotlighting the anonymous women and men on the floor, whose own works vary from sarcastically conceptual to narrative to poppy to exquisitely formal.
