Gillian Gaar is one of the most interesting long-form rock writers in the Seattle area. Shes deftly documented Elvis Presleys comeback and the long, often-frustrating history of women in rock, and now shes finally tackling the elephant in the Northwests music room. This is a debut party for Entertain Us: The Rise of Nirvana, a book about Kurt Cobains ragtag band of grungy punks and how they became the biggest band of the 90s. Gaar will discuss the hours of interviews, the local perspective, and the hardcore reportage that she packed into her newest book.
