The Stranger

Every single year for a decade, we’ve celebrated Seattle’s most fascinating artists by giving them each a pile of money and throwing them a giant party. The party is always a sincere sensation, and this year it’s also going to be suspenseful. Nobody but one lonely vote-counter at The Stranger will know until the awards ceremony who’s won. (Former Genius winners and Stranger editors have voted in secret.) Will world music or hiphop or classical win in the music category? Poetry or comics for literature? Sculpture or video? Dance or theater? You’ll have to wait and see, just like us. Plus, Seattle Rock Orchestra will perform music by the Genius nominees throughout the evening! See you there.
