Every single year for a decade, weve celebrated Seattles most fascinating artists by giving them each a pile of money and throwing them a giant party. The party is always a sincere sensation, and this year its also going to be suspenseful. Nobody but one lonely vote-counter at The Stranger will know until the awards ceremony whos won. (Former Genius winners and Stranger editors have voted in secret.) Will world music or hiphop or classical win in the music category? Poetry or comics for literature? Sculpture or video? Dance or theater? Youll have to wait and see, just like us. Plus, Seattle Rock Orchestra will perform music by the Genius nominees throughout the evening! See you there.
