With the brand-new Pharos Editions, popular authors introduce new readers to lost classics. Pharos’s first wave features a juggernaut of local talent: Sherman Alexie sponsors Todd Walton’s basketball novel Inside Moves, Jonathan Evison chose McTeague by Frank Norris, and Jess Walter endorses Robert Cantwell’s 1935 Washington labor epic Land of Plenty. Tonight, Alexie, Evison, and Walter will appear in a panel discussion (moderated by me). They’ll explain why they picked these particular books and examine the possibility that they may one day be the semi-forgotten author who needs rescuing from the depths of obscurity.
