Tonight’s party celebrates the arrival of what the GOP calls the “death panel,” but which others around the world recognize as universal health care. The organizations supporting the event include the SEIU (Service Employees International Union), the Washington Bus, Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest, and King County Public Health. The acts providing the music are Emerald City Soul Club and Hey Marseilles. And the purpose of it all is to inaugurate a campaign to enroll people in the new health-care system. Universal insurance and dancing are good for your body. (Chop Suey, 1325 E Madison St, strangertickets.com, 8 pm, $7, 21+)
