“Sexy, watery.” That’s the mouthwatering way Amanda Manitach—the prominent Seattle writer and artist, a Stranger Genius Award finalist from 2012—described the new work she’s showing here: larger watercolors than she’s ever done before, some life-size. One is 10 feet long. Dealer Bryan Ohno, she says, “suggested I have a Jeff Koons moment,” referring to Koons’s Made in Heaven series, when he photographed himself having explicit sex with his porn star then-wife, causing controversy but claiming he was photographing nothing but love itself. Bring it on. (Bryan Ohno Gallery, 521 S Main St, bryanohno.com, 6–8 pm, free, through March 1)
