The Association of Writers & Writing Programs (AWP) is in town this week, bringing with it dozens of literary events. Tonight’s must-attend party is a special AWP edition of the Breadline Performance Series, which has delivered the best of poetry, music, and prose to Capitol Hill for three years. Unfortunately, it’s also the last-ever Breadline, but it features a long list of talent including local poets Roberto Carlos Ascalon and Michelle Penaloza, and musical guests Pears and DJ Windows95. If you’re gonna go out, might as well go out on top. (Vermillion, 1508 11th Ave, vermillionseattle.com, 7 pm, free)
