In honor of the (very honorable!) Meatless Monday movement, Tallulah’s on Capitol Hill is donating 10 percent of sales every first Monday of the month to various vegetable-friendly causes—this time, it’s Food Lifeline’s Seattle’s Table program. So virtuous! But Mondays at Stoneburner in Ballard mean house-made pasta with red sauce and a big ol' meatball for $10, with extra meatballs (“when one giant meatball just isn’t enough”) for $2, and Sangiovese for $5 a glass or $15 a carafe. It’s a good kind of moral dilemma to have. (Tallulah’s, 550 19th Ave E, aneighborhoodcafe.com; Stoneburner, 5214 Ballard Ave NW, stoneburnerseattle.com)
