Named after a seductively kitschy Ennio Morricone track, Valmont's Pad is a DJ night geared to spark libidos in unobvious ways. The aural menu includes what host E-Z Action (Deanald Keasey) calls "sexadelic sounds," such as exploitation soundtracks, sleazy library music, Italo disco, and XXX-rated funk. Every second and fourth Tuesday, Keasey and his pool of savvy local selectors (full disclosure: He booked me once) plumb their deep record collections for the most provocative cuts imaginable.
