Michael Showalter of The State, Stella, and Wet Hot American Summer fame has written a book, Mr. Funny Pants, which is not just another comedian's memoir, but a memoir about the process of writing a comedy memoir. Meta. And instead of going on a book tour, reading an excerpt, and sitting in a chair autographing book after book, the hilariously awkward Showalter has embarked on the Mr. Funny Pants Tour, in which he talks about the process of writing the book that he hadn't (at the time) yet written.
