The Benbow Room FOOD & DRINK
The Benbow Room

Those who enjoy a nautical-themed dive bar—that is, those who are not monsters with hearts of lead—should get forthwith to the Benbow Room in West Seattle. Go through the Heartland Cafe (landlubbers!), bear starboard, and find yourself in the chart room of a Spanish galleon (via 1950, which means burgundy vinyl upholstery with gold-coin buttons). It's the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland, minus the children, plus booze! Also: fishing nets! Treasure maps! An inland sea with listless goldfish! A great lighting effect that defies description! Ahoy! (Heartland Cafe/Benbow Room, 4210 SW Admiral Way, 922-3313, 10 am–2 am)

I am such a goof but I think this sounds pretty awesome to me. I just hope they serve drinks in skull mugs!
