Eggnog OTHER
Eggnog

While the origins of eggnog are still debated (did it originate in East Anglia in England or from posset during medieval times?), one thing's for sure: It's fucking delicious. You can drink it straight from the jug, bake with it (eggnog cupcakes!), or even whip up a fancy cocktail by spiking it with rum, brandy, or other boozy goodness. Pro tip: Try to get your hands on the locally made Twin Brook Creamery version—it's thick and rich, perfectly spiced with nutmeg, and doesn't leave a film of fat on your tongue (ew!). (Available at pretty much every market and coffee shop this time of year)

my life has changed dramatically for the better after discovering twin brook creamery's egg nog. also, because it is the richest, creamiest, tastiest, dreamiest egg nog you've ever had (especially a sloosh of with grand marnier), a single cup will satiate you and you'll have no patience/desire for nasty sugar cookies, stale rum balls or other lesser desserts. in the end, you'll be a skinnier person with exquisite good taste and a delightfully warm belly.

@ 2, actually, homemade eggnog will be the "richest, creamiest, tastiest, dreamiest egg nog you've ever had." But thanks for the spam.

@3 exactly. I can't drink the store bought stuff. It just doesn't taste right. I grew up with my mom making homemade eggnog every year, and since I moved out of my parents' house I now make the eggnog each year. It's so damn simple, even a child could do it (as long as that child is allowed to use a stove, anyway).
