There used to be a moment at every No Age show when guitarist Randy Randall would stand atop his amp cabinet while a guitar loop played out and drummer/singer Dean Spunt would stand behind his kit, tapping on a cymbal to keep and suspend time, to build tension. Finally, Spunt would collapse back into his drums and Randall would leap into the air and the song would explode into a mess of supercharged riffs and clatter. There are fewer of those explosive moments on the band's latest album, Everything in Between, but their live show should still be full of them. (Neumos, 925 E Pike St, 709-9467, 8 pm, $12, all ages)
