Two of America's most distinctive guitarists weird up the Josephine's intimate space tonight. Sir Richard Bishop has been reimagining—to his own perverse designs—surf, psych, spaghetti western, Arabic, folk, and other styles since the early '80s with the legendary Sun City Girls, and exploring free-skronk combustion with his new trio, Rangda. Formerly of nihilistic noise rockers Harry Pussy, Bill Orcutt now plays an acoustic guitar whose strings seem to be encrusted with rust, the better to scarify the blues with spontaneous no-wave savagery.
