'Tooth Fairy'

To enjoy Tooth Fairy—a movie about ice hockey, the bureaucracy of fantasy, and not letting go of your stupid dreams—as much as I did, you should probably do a couple of things: (1) Fall deeply in love with Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson's doofy-handsome, elastic face. And (2) watch BBC's The Office and Extras in their entirety, then listen to every episode of the Ricky Gervais podcast until the only thing you love more than Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson's doofy-handsome, elastic face is Stephen "Goggle-Eyed Freak" Merchant's stork legs and Britishy wit. Tooth Fairy is a buddy comedy wrapped in a corny child's turd. Ignore the turd part. (See Movie Times: thestranger .com/film.)

@1 beat me to it.

This just looks like punishment for poor Kyle.

No, I'm sure she likes the movie. But, then, she's an idiot.

@3: Even if she likes the movie, do the Stranger staff agree that this is really the most interesting thing to do in Seattle today?

I agree with the others. This is basically, "Thanks for a great month, Kyle! Let's send you out with something that you'll be able to write a hilarious column about."

I just watched the 2006 Tooth Fairy.

It was about a witch who swoops down on people and drains all the juices out of their body.

This sounds different.

There is no excuse for not assigning this movie review to Mudede

Don't worry, Kyle this movie is actually pretty good. It has it's patented Disney moments, but over all it's quite enjoyable. It's amazing how cynical slog commenters can be, especially when you know most of us are not wearing pants.

Time spent with Stephen Merchant is never wasted, no matter how lowbrow it is.

I just re-read "Red Dragon". The serial killer is called "The Tooth Fairy", much to his chagrin.

@7 Oh, Christ, I'd KILL to see Mudede's pseudophilosophical ramblings on this movie.

@8 I'm sorry, I just can't bring myself to watch it. I was convinced utterly it was a brilliant fake-movie trailer until recently.
