The best photograph in any show is never, never a photograph of a baby—except this one. Look at that baby! It's a she, she was photographed by Norwegian artist Torbjørn Rødland in 2007, and Rødland did not manipulate the photograph. He just found and trapped an amazing moment when a baby turns her head toward the camera, steps up, and says: I am modest, complicated, and mysterious, and you will never know any more about me than that because we can never speak until I am no longer a baby.
