Seattle Kennel Club All-Breed Dog Show

Do you like dogs? Do you like crazy people? Do you like crazy dogs? Do you like gigantic dogs that look like dragons? Do you like tiny dogs that look like fucked-up mice? Do you like a woman combing a Pomeranian's butt hair while wearing a sweatshirt that says "Happiness Is Combing a Pomeranian's Butt Hair"? Do you like a lady and a dog doing a choreographed dance together to the soothing tones of "Circle of Life"? Then you will love the dog show more than you have ever loved anything in your long, lonely life. (Qwest Field Events Center, 800 Occidental Ave S, 381-7555. 7 am–6 pm, $10.)

no, but if you like active healthy dogs having the time of their lives doing Dog Agility then definitely head down!

Yeah, let's encourage the overbreeding of "purebred" dogs when there are 600+ from the puppy-mill raid who need homes. Meanwhile, the AKC, who claim they're about "responsible breeding", fight any type of puppy-mill legislation, and are happy to sell papers to said puppy-mills. The difference between a "responsible breeder" and puppy-mill owner? Not much.

The following message is from Seattle Humane Society:

Emergency Foster Homes Needed!

As many of you might know, our kennel staff has been diligently working to provide the highest quality of care and TLC to 60+ dogs rescued from the puppy mill in Skagit County, as well as the many dogs released to our shelter each day for adoption. Because the dogs from Skagit County are considered evidence in an ongoing criminal investigation they can not be released from our care at this time. However, we are looking for short-term foster homes for approximately 40 of the Snohomish County puppy mill dogs. These dogs have been released by the court system and we're looking for foster families to provide them with some basic socialization and much deserved special attention! By sending these dogs to foster homes we will be allowing for more space at the shelter to help other dogs in need and get the puppy mill dogs into home environments while they wait for needed dental care and spay/neuter surgeries. The dogs will need to be in foster homes with people who are home much of the day and whose own pets are fully up to date on their vaccines. We will provide all necessary supplies and veterinary care for each of the dogs. If you are interested in fostering one of these dogs or have any questions please email Christy Thomson, our dog foster coordinator, at Christy@seattlehumane.org as soon as possible.

#5: Okay, so what part was a lie? That there are 600+ dogs from the puppy-mill raid who need homes? That the AKC fights puppy-mill legislation? That the AKC sells papers to puppy-mills?

Where was the lie?
