This Baltimore trio's innocuous name is deceptive. Their music is an impolite barrage of artful menace. It's rock, but it's not effete indie rock. Rather, Thank You recall the intelligent combustibility of post-punk mavericks like This Heat and the intricate savagery of newer noise-rock misfits like Lightning Bolt. They generate a free-rock dynamism—aided by potent drumming and guitarists whose axes are likely blood spattered by gig's end—that fortifies you with adrenaline.
