Sometime in the '90s, a Boston antique dealer bought a huge oil painting titled Lucy in the Field with Flowers—something, everything, was terribly wrong with it. He showed it to friends, who started collecting their own awful paintings, and the Museum of Bad Art was born. Museum of Bad Art: Masterworks is its catalog. At this book signing, you can find out from whence these visions sprung and nominate new candidates for the collection. (Stir, 216 Alaskan Way S, 264-0260. 6–10 pm, free.) by Jen Graves
