The Stranger

Lauren Weedman—comedian, NPR commentator, playwright, Comedy Central regular—is funniest when she's confessing. Wreckage, her best solo show, is about herpes, divorce, and the time she lied about getting raped. In her new book, A Woman Trapped in a Woman's Body, she creeps out Jon Stewart, gets fired from The Daily Show, and gives herself an enema at the Emmy Awards.
