There are two reliable times every year to get a sense of the best talent coming out of UW art graduate programs: first, Coupling, and then later in the spring, the MFA shows. Coupling, now in its fifth year, pairs 10 accomplished artists—this time, Debra Baxter, Matt Sellars, Alex Schweder, Lisa Buchanan, and Buddy Bunting, among others—with 10 students to make collaborative works.
