(FILM) Claire Denis is the most fascinating director currently working, and her cinematographer possesses some mad-movie-alchemist ability to transform light into touch-it texture (coarse sand, storm-chopped water, hot blood on snow). The Intruder concerns a black-market heart transplant, a drifter with a crown of flowers, a Tahitian shack, and a gap-toothed beauty named Queen of the Northern Hemisphere. It is vraiment bizarre and absolutely not to be missed. (Northwest Film Forum, 1515 12th Ave, 267-5380. 7 and 9:30 pm, $5–$8.) by Annie Wagner
