(THEATRICAL FAREWELL) You never even knew there was an "underground murder-ballad proscenium opera house" in your own backyard, did you? Bid a teary adieu to Vodvil Theater (run by the folks behind such delectable objets de théâtre as Her Phantom Limb and See-Saw) with this party and performance of dark love songs by Serge Gainsbourg, Nick Cave, and more. Plus: prizes, booze, and a good cause (it benefits the film adaptation of Samuel Barber's opera). (Vodvil Theater, 1408 18th Ave. 8 pm, $10-–$20 at the door.) ANNIE WAGNER
