Dancer Jessie Smith looks like a bird—thin-boned, flyaway hair, and an ability to contort herself into shapes that look impossible for the human body. She is also a member of the energetic, experimental theater collective Implied Violence, and it shows. Smith brings humor and viciousness to her work: cream pies, abandoned spaces, old furniture, bottles of whiskey. Today, she will occupy a room with 11 other artists (musicians Paul Moore and Zeke Keeble, dancers Karn Junkinsmith and Ellie Sandstrom) and perform five new works. The first starts at noon, the final at 1:00 a.m. This should be intense. (PROJECT: Space Available, 1417 10th Ave, www.projectspaceavailable.com, noon-1:30 am, $10 suggested donation)
