A couple months back, we got an advance copy of Wayne Koestenbaum’s new book, Humiliation, lost our minds over its brilliance, and decided to throw a big party. On the bill: comedian Solomon Georgio doing humiliation-powered standup, Nate Quiroga (aka Buffalo Madonna of Mad Rad) telling a humiliating story about his dad, original songs by Jose Bold, a one-time-only acoustic (!) set of humiliation jams by palindromed rockers Tacocat, paintings of humiliated people throughout history by Derek Erdman, and a live interview with Koestenbaum (I will be sure to ask very humiliating things). Plus: DJ Porq! Buy tickets here. (Chop Suey, 1325 E Madison St, 324-8005, 7 pm, $5, 21+)
