His pop played bass for Presley and Orbison, but R. Stevie Moore has nurtured a more underground musical existence, releasing hundreds of bedroom-produced albums that have accrued a small, rabid following worldwide. Moore’s jovial and lugubrious songs have influenced Ariel Pink and many other glo-fi artists through their hazy analog production, meta lyrics, and melodies that are as oddly contoured as they are catchy. Amazingly, this is Moore’s first national tour. Come get charmed by the world’s coolest 59-year-old.
