This is the 5K for those who would never be inclined to do a 5K—but who will bring themselves to exercise in the name of seeing installations by 80 artists scattered along the “race” route. Participants will wind from downtown to Beacon Hill, with art, live music, and refreshments along the way, and the final destination is a private house-gallery where poets might be found in the shower and critics might be found in the bathtub (true, true). The only thing you can’t do is run. (The permits couldn’t be had.) (Walk starts at Occidental Park, Occidental Ave and S Main St, 2 pm; after-party at NEPO House, 1723 S Lander St, 6–10 pm; www.nepohouse.org, free)
