i'm so honored to call this woman a friend! the show is truly amazing and surprising at every turn. don't expect a self indulgent one woman show... expect a brilliantly acted piece of genius that just so happens to be true.

Kenny is a master monologist, and now she's telling her own story. Having followed this play in workshop, I know the finished product will be powerful, frightening, and funny. This should be required viewing for every doctor who has written a prescription and every person who has popped a pill.

This happened to me too. I lost 12 years of my life to it and am still recovering four years after stopping the meds. It's a little harder to know it's happening to you when they start medicating you as a child, and I think we'll see a lot more of this as time goes on, as we're medicating so many kids these days.
We saw Elizabeth several years ago in "Compendium of Nastiness" - she was awesome, and we've wanted to see her in something else since then...can't wait to see her in this!
Saw the performance Friday night 4/15. What a powerful acting performance and very important message about taking control of your own life. Elizabeth Kenny pulls from her own experience and engages the audience so personally and completely. She is directed by John Kazanjian, New City Theater Artistic Director perfectly to allow Elizabeth to every once of herself on stage. Bravo!
