maybe that's why the 1913 premiere caused a riot?


I could snark about how an arts writer can't be bothered to look up the facts about that riot, but instead I'll just set you straight. Shades of that riot started even before the curtain rose on the ballet performance because it was the *music* that pissed people off, not the dancing.
