Thursday is St. Patrick's Day, and there are nearly 50 events happening to mark the occasion. You can see all of your options on our St. Patrick's Day calendar—including the highly anticipated Irish Wake for Lost Seattle Places, the delicious-sounding Feast of St. Patrick at BottleNeck Lounge and Two Doors Down, and the Thunderpussy St. Patrick's Day party—but, if you're looking for a good Irish craic, with live Celtic music, Guinness, and Irish dancing, these 8 events at Irish pubs should do the trick. Sláinte!

1. Conor Byrne
Ballard's Irish pub celebrates St. Patrick's Day by opening at noon and hosting live music from 1 pm until "the wee hours" of Friday morning. The diverse lineup features traditional Irish music from A Ting a Beauty and Crumac, the Celtic surf music of The Irish Experience, the Newfoundland maritime folk of Piper Stock Hill, The Pickpocket Revue's alt-folk, and the Celtic hillbilly punk of The Wages of Sin.

2. Old Pequliar
Performances, pints, and whiskey take center stage at Old Pequliar's Irish Whiskey Weekend. With all shots $7 from Mar 18-20, you'll be able to drink efficiently—plus, the $10 cover on St. Patrick's Day will be transformed into a $10 gift card to use next time you come to Old Pequliar. Some of the St. Patrick's Day performers include Newfoundland folk band Piper Stock Hill, Irish folk band Servants of the Rich, the Seattle Irish Step Dancers, and five-piece Irish band Whiskey Gaels closing out the night.

3. Fadó Irish Pub
Start celebrating St. Patrick's Day as soon as you can with the folks at Fadó Irish Pub. They'll open their doors at 7:30 am and offer "Kegs and Eggs" until 11 am. If the food and beer isn't enough incentive, you don't pay the $10 cover charge if you get there before 2 pm. Stay for the live music by The Undercover Outlaws, The Kennedy Brothers, and more.

4. Kells Irish Restaurant & Pub
Kells' all-day festival includes an Irish breakfast starting at 9 am, live Irish music starting at noon from bands including the Buck Mad Bhoys, Stocious, and Liam Gallagher, and a free festival T-shirt for everyone who purchases a pass in advance.

5. Owl N' Thistle Irish Pub
The downtown Irish pub will have drinks and live Celtic and rock music from the likes of Crumac, the Owl N' Thistle Band, Carrigaline, and Massy Ferguson.

6. The Ould Triangle
Visit Greenwood's Irish pub for corned beef and cabbage, Irish stew, Guinness, prizes, live music, and "Good Irish Craic!" Performers include The Jamisons, Raybone Experience, and The Black Rose. Cash only—no tabs.

7. Finn MacCool's
The U-District's Irish pub opens at 10 am for St. Patrick's Day, with a performance lineup that starts at 4 pm and includes Irish dancers, the Seattle firefighters' pipes and drums band, and The Unoriginals Band.

8. Murphy's Pub
The Lucky Leprechaun Crawl/Dash/Dance is an all-day celebration of St. Patrick's Day that offers a chance to dance through Wallingford full of the spirit of the Irish, in addition to live music all day, and a performance by Seattle Firefighter Pipes and Drums at 9 pm. The crawl kicks off with traditional breakfast at Murphy's Pub at 9 am, and continues to other locations including the Octopus Bar, the Iron Bull, Al's Tavern, Kate's Pub, The Grizzled Wizard, Sea Monster, and Changes.
