The 2017 Seattle Design Festival, an exploration of design and architecture's intersections with urbanism, environmentalism, art, and social justice and progress, begins this weekend on September 9. The Block Party this Saturday and Sunday alone presents more than three dozen installations, interactive kiosks, discussions, and talks, plus a sustainable market, and the festival will continue until September 22. All in all, 80 events will take place all around Seattle. The Closing Party will cap off the festivities. This year's theme is "POWER": design's power to change the world for good.
