The advent of November has brought a flurry of restaurant openings in Seattle, so we've rounded up all the new spots so you can decide what to check out. At the top of the list: swoon-worthy, slurpable noodles from Qin and Ramen Danbo, Mark Fuller's new restaurants 'Table and Supreme, and the adorable, cat-filled Neko Cafe. See them all below, along with other local food news you need to know—like that Renee Erickson's Bateau was just named one of the 38 best restaurants in America, the Impossible Burger has arrived at the Carlile Room, and the pop-up COWABUNGA, a carnivorous carnival for those for whom "meat lover" is not just a pizza, is this weekend.
Though the evidence is dubious, “biohacking” devotees swear by this culty concoction of java, grass-fed butter, and “Brain Octane oil,” which purports to provide increased cognitive enhancement and weight loss, among other lofty claims. Should you wish to try it for yourself, they’ve opened a shop in South Lake Union with a full range of add-ons like collagen and cacao nibs and menu options like bone broth.

Qin Xi’an Food
Edmonds’ Qin brings their raved-about, hand-pulled biang biang noodles (named for the onomatopoeia of the sound of the noodles being slapped on the counter as they’re being made) and dumplings to Capitol Hill.

The Mount Baker micro-roaster has opened a new location close to Seattle Center. In addition to coffee and pastries, they’ll be slinging breakfast tacos on Friday and Saturday mornings.

The Moo Bar
Hailing from NorCal, this Taiwanese boba bar offers a bevy of highly Instagrammable treats including milk tea, waffles, and raindrop cakes, in trending flavors like matcha, ube, and activated charcoal. Thoughtful details, like lactose-free milk and customizable sweetness, set them apart from the rest of the bubble tea crowd.

Neko Cat Cafe
Ailurophiles of Capitol Hill can now bring their Neko Atsume dreams to life by hanging out with a gang of real live adoptable felines, while enjoying thematically appropriate refreshments such as cat-shaped cookies and fish-shaped stuffed waffles from the food truck BeanFish.

Mark Fuller (New Luck Toy, Ma’ono) and Doug Kawasaki have opened a new veggie-based venture (the name is an abbreviation of “vegetable"S). The menu features intriguing omnivorous innovations like crushed avocado succotash and the ‘Table veggie burger, a blend of kidney beans, quinoa, hominy, eggplant, mushrooms, Marmite, cashews, and a “veggie caramel.”

This traditional Fukuoka-style ramen joint has just opened its first U.S. branch, offering their signature creamy pork tonkotsu broth and customizable noodle options.

Cascade Coffee Works
From the brains behind Capitol Hill’s Seattle Coffee Works comes this sister shop in a bright, airy, industrial space near Amazon’s campus. In addition to coffee, there’s a stacked lineup of offerings from Iggy’s Kombucha, Ellenos Yogurt, Sunrise Coffee, and Seattle Bagel Bakery, cold brew on tap, and a full happy hour menu with beer and wine.
South Lake Union
Opened November 8
On the heels of ‘Table’s recent opening, Mark Fuller of New Luck Toy and Ma’ono is also launching a cheerful bar inspired by classic New York pizzerias, with cheekily named pies like the “Oh, You’re SOOO Hawaiian” with Portuguese sausage and pineapple, and the foreboding, ghost-chili-spiked “The Reaper.” In addition, there will be four slushy machines dispensing boozy beverages and Negronis on tap.

Nine Pies Pizzeria
Nine Hats Winery in SODO Urbanworks plans to open an adjacent pizzeria helmed by Cary Kemp of West Seattle’s Pizzeria 22.

The award-winning Woodinville cidery will bring its unique flavors (like smoked blueberry and chili pineapple) to Ballard.

Sadly, the beloved bar said goodbye on Halloween night, due to needing to evacuate the building for a planned development. But all is not lost: The owners hope to eventually open another Redwood in Port Angeles.

The Impossible Burger
The Impossible Burger, a meatless burger engineered to deliver an unthinkably realistic simulacrum of a classic beef patty, has landed at Rhein Haus in Capitol Hill and Tom Douglas’s The Carlile Room. Read Katie Herzog’s review here.
Gender Ally Burger at Li’l Woody’s
This week, L’il Woody’s is offering a Gender Ally burger, with hickory smoked apple jam, onion rings, shredded lettuce and arugula, Tillamook cheddar, Hills bacon, Painted Hills grass-fed beef, and mayo. A portion of proceeds benefit the Gender Family Alliance and Gender Justice League.
National Happy Hour Day

Tutta Bella Movember Cocktail
Every November, Tutta Bella crafts a cocktail named after a mustachioed icon to support men’s health (past honorees have included Burt Reynolds, Groucho Marx, and Magnum P.I.). This year’s creation is the Freddie Mercury: Redemption High Rye Bourbon, Giffard Apricot Liqueur, lemon juice, maple syrup, and bitters in a ’stache-bedecked glass. Proceeds benefit the Movember Foundation.

Starbucks Reserve Roastery
The Italian bakery Princi debuted its first US location at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery on Tuesday. They'll be baking a rotation of fresh pastries daily.
Drinks of the Resistance
For this two-week-long fundraising event, head to any of the participating bars and restaurants to order their cocktail specials created for the occasion, and 25% of the gross sales will be donated to the Northwest Immigrants Rights Project, which "promotes justice by defending and advancing the rights of immigrants through direct legal services, systemic advocacy, and community education." Cowabunga USA, a beef-filled bacchanalia brought to you by Seattle Met and Amazon, is three days full of 9,481 pounds of red meat. There will also be over 50 chefs preparing said beef. There are different events and activities each day.
The Northwest Chocolate Festival
"Chocolate lovers unite!' is the rallying cry for this event, which will feature international chocolate exhibits, seminars from professionals, tastings, and a focus on sustainability. Exhibitors come from all over the world and include locals like Fran's, Dilettante, Hot Cakes, indi, and others.
The Best Chefs You’ve Never Heard Of
Some chefs are household names in this city: Renée Erickson, Tom Douglas, Rachel Yang. But do you know the names of those more down-to-earth cuisiniers who run the kitchens? Courtesy of Ethan Stowell and Joe Ritchie, meet the sous-chefs, banquet chefs, and chefs de cuisine who craft the excellent meals at some of the best restaurants in the city. Jeremy Arnold of Hitchcock, Christopher Coker of Adana, chef de cuisine Mitch Mayers of Lark, Tyson Wardell of Salare, Sadie White of Tavolata, Jason Melton of Four Seasons, and Alexus Williams of Navy Strength will prepare small dishes. Visit each chef's station, graze on their morsels, and relax with a drink (two are included with your tickets). Once you're finished, you'll have a new appreciation for head chefs' busy and brilliant first mates.
Deb Perelman has never worked in a restaurant, but her food blog Smitten Kitchen features more than 1,200 recipes and has won multiple awards. Based on the popularity of her accessible, dressed-up-comfort-food recipes, down-to-earth writing, and mouth-watering, sun-soaked photos she takes in her tiny New York apartment, Perelman has become a giant in the food-writing industry. She’ll come to Seattle on her book tour for her second and much-anticipated cookbook, Smitten Kitchen Every Day: Triumphant & Unfussy New Favorites, which includes 115 recipes, 101 of which are new, for everything from cake to ceviche. So many fans are expected to turn out for her Book Larder appearance, in fact, that Perelman will only sign books rather than giving a talk—but they'll have snacks from the book available while you wait, eliminating the impossible task of waiting until you get home to try out her new recipes.

At this "Party with a Purpose" benefiting Food Lifeline and Ben's Fund, savor offerings from restaurants like Lark and Din Tai Fung while you rub elbows with Seattle Seahawks and other local stars.
10 Years! Ethan Stowell Restaurants Anniversary Party
To celebrate their first restaurants Tavolàta Belltown and How to Cook A Wolf turning a decade old, Angela and Ethan Stowell are throwing a bash MCed by Scott Carty of The Carty Party and DJed by DJ Blueeyedsoul, with a performance from a "very special musical guest." Guests will also have the opportunity to enter a raffle to win a night out in the limo from Macklemore's "White Walls" music video and a dinner for four at Goldfinch Tavern. All proceeds go to benefit United Way of King County.
Toklas Society Presents: Alison Roman
Angela Garbes moderates a discussion with Alison Roman, Suzi An (Vita Uva), and Alex Pemoulié (Mean Sandwich) as they talk about how they launched their careers what it’s like to be a woman in the food industry. Tickets include a sandwich and side, as well as a Ramona wine cooler.
Grilled Cheese Grand Prix
The organizers claim that this is "Seattle's first ever Grilled Cheese showdown." Whether that's accurate or not, we can't say, but cheese lovers aren't going to care very much about accurate timelines when they're faced with a spread of 50 pop-ups.
