This exhibition clearly reflects a moment in trend and time, a manifestation of a "bell curve" of infatuated hipster culture gone too far that has embraced a notion of the past and made it their own. Frost it with a huge helping of scholarly whipped nothing (but it sounds right) then add to that the "cannot help themselves even if they lived it the first time around" art crowd that seems to have a problem embracing this sort of thing regularly to feel valid, young, and relevant and presto!-you have a thinly veiled pseudo-intellectual poof called an art show. Cool? Groovy? So now? Visually savvy and decorative? Yes, maybe, but far from anything but an indulgent trifle of entertainment and kinda fun for now. But great art, not now, tomorrow, or then.

this was a good exhibit. it's accessible, and that's probably why art snobs will complain that it is not worthy
