What this just proves is that just because he/you thinks he's something of a printmaker extraordinaire-he just really isn't. Unfortunately most artists who think they're the proverbial 'Renaissance man' really aren't-case in point. Derivative and copycat, unoriginal, indulgent, common, and just a bunch of hyped bullshit is what this work is in fact. What does figure is that you could and would find this bore to feature this week as worthy because you cannot seem to define art as anything other than your small narrow sighted world art view that you just can't seem to step outside of for your own/our own good. That last paragraph is a real doozy, yikes Graves! Thankfully the weather's great and the Olympics are on so who's gonna notice?

I was happy to have randomly swung by this gallery, which I do find carries the quality of content to amount to "just another Pioneer Square gallery." Ben Beres's work, challenging and reminiscent of another era, was presented fluidly.
