The Most Important Seattle Photographer You've Never Heard Of

Al Smith's eye-opening, boundary-hopping photos at the Museum of History & Industry are a must-see.

Every change has unintended consequences. Seattle's racist housing property laws were bad, but the old CD was good and bad, and when the forces that created it changed, it seems the good was the first to go.
Nice review. I went to this a few days ago and was blown away. It's a fantastic and important exhibit, and I hope to see more of his photos in the future (and you can order prints from MOHAI as well, in person only at the gift shop).
