The Stranger is searching for an experienced, professional Social Media Engagement Manager for our editorial and film festival divisions.

The right candidate will have expert knowledge of social networking platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok) and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, (including proofreading).

This position will be responsible for daily posts to all applicable social media outlets. This position will also create organic and promotional posts for the HUMP! Film Festival, The Stranger’s indie porn festival.

Other duties include fulfilling sales and promotional agreements on social media, tracking social media influence measurements, monitoring on-site and off-platform conversations for story ideas and flagging them for reporters, partnering with other departments to ensure proper online messaging and relevancy, ensuring messaging consistency across multiple networks, and preparing internal reports to update staff on usage statistics. The overriding goal of this position is to increase visibility, discussion, and engagement for The Stranger and HUMP!.

Due to the fast-paced nature of the position, excellent prioritizing, time-management, and multitasking skills are necessary. Enthusiasm, people skills, and a genuine sense of humor are a must.

This is a full-time position. Occasional evening and weekend hours should be considered a regular component of the weekly schedule. Reports to the Marketing Director.
