But seriously, maybe if some of the residents there had access to something culturally uplifting, like, say, artistic programming and opportunities they might not feel so despondent, hopeless, and in need of turning to chemicals to allay their feelings of disconnection and impulses toward self-destruction. That's just MY opinion, but hey, at least it has some actual http://arttherapy.org/">clinical evidence to back it up.
