(Excepting for the .01% of the plutocracy, of course!)
The South Carolinians have spoken, and clearly voted to embrace the New Jim Crow, and a return to slavery, for if HRC wins, and signs the Trans-Pacific Partnership, even the most ignorant and useless of Ameritards will finally comprehend what institutionalized serfdom is!
Yes, one realizes that most Americans have never read anything, so the absurd notion that any of them would actually read the TPP (4 chapters touch upon trade, the other 26 chapters do not) to learn of their upcoming demise as possible or former American workers!
While there are vile individual sections of the TPP pertaining to food safety (they destroy), food sovereignty (they destroy), biopharmaceuticals (etc.), the entirety of the so-called "trade agreement" destroys worker's rights, and without workers' rights, all other rights disappear!
The new Frye plans are controversial? High rise anxiety? I was just at a community planning meeting. Residents of the area, myself included, seemed really supportive. The current space is a parking lot. I don't understand why this is being labeled a controversy--even though housing has been contentious.
@4 Agreed, and thanks for the reading recommendations! Everyone should caucus AND vote in the primary for Bernie!
The short story (via podcast) about the confusing hybrid Caucus/Primary system in Washington State is that the Democratic Party allocates delegates on the basis of the caucus. So, if you are a Bernie supporter in Washington State, you must caucus! (Though you should still vote in the later primary in May - but it is the CAUCUS that is critical!)
The Republican Party allocates their delegates on the basis of the primary, and the caucus is virtually meaningless - the opposite of what the Democratic does.
It would be better if both parties used the primary, but that's not the case. And you can listen to the podcast for details.
Next issue for Bernie supporters - how to find your caucus location. Go either to the Washington For Bernie website and, via their link, go to the Washington Democratic Party website - or just go there directly yourself.
Next issue - do I have to register in order to find my caucus location?
NO. You can fill out the information at that initial DP link. It will then take you to a preregistration form that will show your CAUCUS LOCATION AT THE TOP, based on your address.
But, you can then either (1) print out your registration form to have at the caucus in advance (which makes it easier for them to more quickly process people) - or - (2) you can click a button at the bottom of the screen that clears your form, and exit, with plans to do it later, but now, knowing at least where your caucus location is!
Hope that helps Washington State Bernie supporters steer more easily through the Washington State maze. (And if you don't want to listen to the podcast.)
The Bernie supporter contact (via the podcast interview) is David Spring who also caucused for Barack Obama in 2008. Great interview - thank you!
CAUCUS (and vote, of course) for BERNIE SANDERS. He's not for sale, he's correct on the issues, and he has the record in Congress. Power to the People! Don't forget, too, that Hillary Clinton is heavily with the war machinery. Get out there and caucus and vote for Bernie if you don't want the United States heading into another bloody invasion fiasco. Along with many other reasons why you should support this excellent candidate.
One more thing - you can caucus in Washington State if you're 17 and will turn 18 by November 8th. You can register anytime (online, too) from now until the date of the caucus, MARCH 26th.
If you are a college student not living in your home state, you can vote for Bernie in either your home state or in the state in which you are attending school!
I'll be voting for Bernie in the primaries. His message needs to be heard, clear and loud. This is where the CENTER of the Democratic Party used to be. It needs to not be considered "fringe left wing" anymore. This isn't socialism. It's mainstream FDR Democratic policy. The GOP has perverted the dialog for 30 years now to brand it (sadly, successfully) far-left.
As for the General Election in November, I refuse to pout, hold my breath, or stay home if Bernie doesn't win. We cannot let any nascent fascist/klansman from the GOP pantheon of motherfuckers roll back what few gains we can count from the last 8 years. VOTE! Whether it's for Bernie or Hillary in November, get up, knock on doors, help register Democrats, and drag them to the polls.
If you're wondering if she's qualified or will be able to handle the job without injecting a ton of political bullshit, read the damned emails. Overall, there's a clear balance of competence over politics. Seriously, the lady has chops, and she can do this job well enough. Maybe not fully to our left-wing taste, but given the Republican bastards who are killing all our legislation, that might not be possible, anyway.
I can see that feelings are running high on who the nominee should be, so I'll leave that alone. Let me then propose that Kate Brown, (Governor of Oregon,) would be an excellent VP choice for whichever candidate wins!
can look at crappy Frye art.
That's smart.
The Frye should just sell the land outright, be done with it as if nothing happened, and continue doing what it already does so well.
