Are you fucking kidding me? In the same breath you are basically condoning Beck's racist accusation because Obama said someone acted stupidly?

Really, it's not about what Obama said or did here. There's just this undertone of "how dare that uppity negro" to this whole thing that also seems attached to the birther thing. That he can't possibly want change for America if it's not related to *reparations*. REPARATIONS.

I'm so sick of this psycho bullshit, NYT Bestseller or not. I've seen what it is turning my family into, formerly definitely right-leaning but SANE people. Every week they spout another talking point; over the past year they have gone, week by week, from "He's a charismatic, smart guy" and other admissions of his qualifications to "He's coming for our guns and our money and he's not even an AMURRICAN OH MY GOD HE'S A RACIST BLEE BLAH BLAH HUSSEIN NOBAMA!!!" Week by sodding week. It's fucking terrifying, and it's assholes like Glenn Beck who are making money off this - whether they really believe it, or they're just pied-piping.

What's it going to take before the scale tips? Before people wake up and realize what has HAPPENED to them while they were sleeping? That they turned into zombies who were moved by an incoherent resignation speech from a governor giving up her post (probably to go play in the fields of Glenn Beck)? I wonder what exactly it will be that brings everything to a screeching stop. I fear it, actually. Then there'll be a montage, like on the Wonder Years or some shit, but until then, keep talking, dipshits.

Need to let people know that I am biracial. At my age and experience I can not understand the issue of not letting people say what they want to-up front. I grew up in a generation that did not cuss in public and is offensive to me-but it now happens all the time and in different media. I have had to adjust to understand and listen to another verbal point of view. I do not believe most of what I have been told in the news media since my Viet Nam experience. Now-that was a classic period of having crazies on the news and the main media and government viewing their desires for the citizens to believe in. Let Beck speak-then let the viewers/listeners review and see if any truth is in his claim. But, let him speak. I am beginning to see a side of the president and his close allies that may be the basis for Beck's view- How close are we to having white people rioting in the streets.
