Sad to hear of it being cancelled, but happy to know it'll continue via the Interwebbies. With Jen, hopefully!
But hey, KIRO, can't you do something about Dori Monson??! Oh my god, it's embarrassing to have that stuff on the radio in this great town.
That sucks. I was on the show back in February (to talk about how my first and last name sounds like the name of a certain Swedish pop band from the early 90's). They were really nice, it was fun.
I suspect TBTL may get picked up on terrestrial ground at some point, perhaps on a station that better caters to their demo (although it seems the under-40 demo increasingly rely upon podcasting over radio, so perhaps it'll help TBTL's online efforts). I wonder if the show could ever work on KEXP or KUOW?! And, if so, which time slots? Food for thought, I suppose...
I do think KIRO made a huge mistake, as TBTL was their attempt to cater to an under-40 crowd (and draw more young listeners to their station).
That fucking blows. Just got back from a week out of town to this. Loved that show and it was really the only one that I actually turned my radio on for anymore. It was like having a cool, witty friend over for dinner each weeknight. Thanks again Mormans!
There's gonna be a farewell party tonight for the Tens- (the running joke being that TBTL had literally tens of listeners). They're talking about karaoke at Mandarin Gate on the blog.
