But they have a British guy - that adds some credibility.
2
I was going to say that the best part is that no one corrects her, but, you know, the best part is definitely the part where she "forgets" that the biggest terrorist attack in our nation's history happened under Bush.
3
Okay, I think I need to stop baking with the whiskey and the rum, it's time to start drinking it. This makes my head hurt.
4
Well, except for the one. And a couple other little ones.
5
can a brotha get some fucking context?
6
I gather that most Republicans think 9/11 is basically Clinton's fault, because the security standards that preceded the attack were put in place by Clinton, but it's always sort of shocking to me that the Republicans totally forget about the anthrax attacks.
7
Clearly, anything good during Clinton's time was because of Regan, anything bad that happened during Bush's was because of Clinton, and anything bad during Obama's is Obama's fault.

Some of the women guests on FOX look like they are going to die of anorexia. Someone needs to feed them a sandwich.

Somebody's been dipping into the good drugs.

@7 Judah,
Indeed, you are right the anthrax attacks were acts of terror under Bush. As was the Murrah Federal Building bombing in Oklahoma City by domestic terrorists, Tim McVeigh and Terry Nichols in 95' under Clinton and yes, the Ft. Hood attack recently by the suspect Maj. Nidal Hasan under Obama. Terror attacks (in all shapes and sizes) occur under any administration for a myriad of reasons. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. No US President is responsible for them. They are however, responsible to keep us safe, an extremely difficult task.

This foolish utterance (on the show) is a gaffe. That's not a defense. It's just that no one picked up on it. Dan did. It elicits a yawn in me. I don't listen to Hannity and I'm right of center.
10
Obama was nominating her to the Broadcasting Board of Governors.
11
Knock Knock.
-Who's there?
9/11.
-9/11 who?
YOU SAID YOU'D NEVER FORGET!!
12
she meant AFTER 9/11 and the Anthrax attacks, and you know it, you nitpicky traitors!

yes, Hassan was a terrorist attack, but so was the shooting at the Jewish Federation in Seattle. and that occurred when?

UNDER GEORGE FUCKING BUSH.
13
*eyeroll* Again, why does anyone take republicans seriously?
14
Geeze people.

All she's trying to say is that if Clinton hadn't gotten those blow jobs, Gore would have easily been elected President and he wouldn't have allowed us to be attacked the way Bush did. Thus the 9/11 attacks were all Clinton's fault, and de facto they happened on Clinton's watch. Pure and simple, it was a Democrat national security failure, and blaming a Republican is just wrong. And a little bit pathetic, I might add.
15
Wikipedia lists 17 terrorist attacks in the US during Bush's terms (3 of them in and around Seattle).

More material for the Daily Show!
17
Aaaaaarrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhh!
18
isn't it obvious: she said "during President Bush's TERM," in a singular fashion. You see, she is acknowledging that he was not elected the first time around and was only in his first term from 2004-2008. So there were no new terrorist attacks in that time frame. And good ol GW is still eligible for another run at the white house where he'll clean up the mess "that boy" made.
19
wow.
20
@11 i lol'd
22
@14 + @18: Brilliance. :)
23
Bush and his liars just can't stop, can they?

When do the war crimes trials start? Or do we need to strap them to nukes and air drop them on Riyadh instead?
24
@3 - no, no, pecan pies are a thing of beauty.

Keep going.
25
After watching that clip, my opinion of Fox news remains unchanged.
26
Judah (@6) - I love that Republican nugget that blame the 9/11 attacks on Clinton because Bush just adopted his anti-terrorist policies.

Not so - Ashcroft deprioritized anti-terrorism, cutting the budget drastically, and instead prioritized domestic law and order. You can read it in his own documents, but those that believe otherwise won't be swayed by that. That's how political views work.

I'm not saying that Clinton could have stopped it. I'm just saying he was trying a lot harder.
27
What @26 said. Plus, right-wing nutcase Charles Krauthammer ran a column on 10/30 in the Washington Post saying, basically, that at this point Obama could no longer blame his predecessors for anything anymore. I don't remember anyone seriously blaming Bush for 9/11. But to say it didn't happen during his term is utterly insane.
28
Look, be real. Dana was correct.

The attacks happened during Cheney's first term.
29
@21 LOL.

"...just returning the favor...." loved it.

Please wait...

and remember to be decent to everyone
all of the time.
